Tears Quietly Roll

Now I CryNow that I’ve taken care of the business of death, I no longer need to numb myself from the pain of loss. Now I cry. Softly. Quietly. The tears roll down my cheeks. I miss my dad. I really miss him.

I’m so sorry about your dad. I have just said a heartfelt prayer for you but I know that will not ease the pain. My prayer is that the Lord will hug you and hold you tight, comfort your precious heart. Wish I could give you a hug.

  3. I agree. Thank you.

  4. There is a reason that we feel relief after a good cry. There is healing in our tears. They’re necessary. Again, I’m so sorry about your Dad. ?♥️

  5. I’m sorry for your loss. It hurts. The pain is real. May the God of all comfort be near you.

  6. I agree with you 100%. Without love, there is no grief. I loved my father. He loved us — my sister, mother, and me — deeply and well.

  7. That’s very kind of you.

  8. That you trust us with your grief is, I hope, a sign that: (1) you know it’s okay to grieve as you need to; (2) you know there’s more to loss than grief – there is love . We see you!

  10. Thank you. You know grief well. Love you, too. ?

  11. Thank you. November and January were recent. Your grief is still raw. Similar to Candy Crush, I do jigsaw puzzles on my iPad. Simply not verbal. Sending love and hugs right back to you.

  12. Sometimes, distraction is necessary. <3

  13. You’re welcome.

  14. Many (((((HUGS))))) for you. I’m so sorry for your loss. I know how it feels as I lost both parents within four years of each other, long ago. Prayers for comfort and peace. Love you.

  15. I know exactly how you are feeling Kitt, lost my mum at the end of November and my dad in January. Understand totally the watching of mindless TV, my switch off is mindless candy crush! I always use it just to stop my mind thinking and give myself a rest.
I never expected to feel the grief like this, sending you love and hugs x

  16. Thank you. Those who lost their homes in the fire grieve, too.

  17. Softly crying feels good. When I need a break from the grief, I watch mindless TV.

  18. Thank you, V.J.

  19. That it will. Thank you, Mark.

  20. Thank you, Lana.

  21. Thank you, Christine.

  22. Coincidentally, I attended a meeting this morning dealing with the Thomas Fire disaster in our county. The main discussion were steps associated with the WRAP process. This emotion seems normal and healthy for the loss of your father, Kitt. Your family wellness is in my prayers.
God Bless + Take Care !!!

  23. Let it flow, Kitt. Such tears can ease the pain even though they do not undo the loss.

  24. Thinking of you in this time of grief. Be well.

  25. Big hugs kind lady, your heart will always hold your dad’s heart…always <3

Hi kit I know what it’s like to lose a parent my mother passed away to cancer 22 years ago and never a day goes by when she is far from my thoughts sending you big hugs

  28. Thank you. My family is supporting me as I grieve. Find that spending time alone allows me to cry. Defended when around others.

  29. Thank you, Dyane. You know exactly what I’m going though. ?

  30. No problem, Cassandra. Thank you for your support.

  31. Kudos to you for allowing the emotions to flow freely. Hope your support system is strong so you can lean on them as needed.

  32. As someone who also lost a father I loved deeply, my heart goes out to you, my friend. I remember in the early days after his death, I cried so much. While it was awful, a part of me knew it was healthy to let the tears out. It is healthy you are crying.
Thank you for being so open and vulnerable with us by sharing your photo and words. I love you

  33. Whoops, I commented as anonymous. Sorry about that.
