Setting: Southern California beach town. Newly dating couple on a casual date.
Female Protagonist: 31 year-old female former psychotherapist recently moved back with parents after a mental breakdown, now working as a temporary file clerk.
Male Protagonist: 35 year-old male civil engineer, highly strung as are many engineers. Recently relocated to Southern California for engineering position.
Female: Do you want to have children some day?
Male: I always thought that if I met the right woman, I would want to marry her and have children with her.
Female: I’m that woman.
the modern dating has become more interesting.
That it is.
I love happy endings. Finding the right one is a beautiful thing.
Yep. We ended up with just one.
Turns out I am. He knows it, too. He’s the right man for me, too.
I, too, would have loved to witness this event. It would of been even funnier if the civil engineer had replied, “Should we have six children or seven?” 🙂 Then the look on the audacious lady’s face would have been priceless. lol.
I was reading this in the tedious carpool line, Kitt, and it really gave me a chuckle. It also seemed vaguely familiar – you might have told me, or wrote about it…I’m not sure. All I know is that it was my audacious Kitt talking, putting it all out there in a big way to that highly-strung civil engineer.
How I would’ve loved to be a fly in the room (?), car (?), beach (?), restaurant (?) to see the look on his face when you told him you were that woman!!!!!!
